Xenon 1900/1902HD resolution for Data Matrix barcode is 5 mil (0.127 mm). However, this is a “passport data” for a general purpose scanner, measured when reading an almost ideal “paper labels” – Data Matrix symbols printed onto a white paper.

For DPM samples the resolution might be not as high as for the “ideal labels” – even if the print quality is very good, the surface/substrate, on which the symbol is planted, affect the image quality in most cases.

Each of our libraries comes with a demo application to demonstrate the use of the library. You can use this applications to decode the most popular 1D and 2D barcode symbologies. These applications are free and we even supply the source code for them so you know how to call the library when you build your own application. In addition, they have rather sophisticated GUIs, which not only depict the major features of the libraries, but allow also to analyze the decoded image.
